Behind the Scenes: Bringing Audibility to Life
September was the month everything came together. After weeks of planning, construction, equipment installation and countless decisions — big and small — the clinic finally began to look and feel like Audibility. This was the moment the empty shell transformed into a fully equipped, patient‑ready hearing care environment.
To capture that journey, we filmed the build throughout September. The result is a short behind‑the‑scenes look at how the clinic took shape, from bare walls to a fully functioning hearing centre.
From Empty Shell to Clinical Space
When we first stepped into the unit, it was a dark, unused, wall‑lined shell that hadn’t been occupied for several years. September marked the moment that space finally began its transformation — walls were finished, lighting was installed, and the layout started to resemble the clinic we had envisioned months earlier.
Installing the Sound Booth
One of the most significant milestones was the installation of our full‑sized clinical sound booth. Many hearing providers still operate without a proper booth, but for us, accurate diagnostics and best‑practice care meant investing in the right environment from day one. Seeing the booth assembled and powered on was a defining moment — the clinic suddenly felt real.
Building the Aural Care Room
Our purpose‑built aural care room was designed with safety, comfort and clinical precision in mind. September was when the room took shape: medical‑grade lighting, ergonomic layout, infection‑control surfaces and the equipment needed for safe, effective microsuction and ear care.
Equipment Arrives
Throughout the month, deliveries arrived almost daily — tympanometry, Real Ear Measurement systems, our clinical audiometer, ENT‑grade endoscope and the tools that would form the backbone of our diagnostic and treatment capabilities. Each piece of equipment represented another step toward opening our doors with the highest clinical standards in place.
The Final Touches
By the end of September, the clinic was almost ready. Furniture was installed, signage went up, accessibility features were finalised and the final checks were completed. The space that had once been empty and silent was now bright, welcoming and ready for patients.
This was the month we could finally stand back, look around and feel proud of what had been created.
