Three Major Hearing Aid Launches: Early Impressions from the Clinic
September was one of the busiest months we’ve seen in hearing technology for years, with three major manufacturers launching new platforms almost back‑to‑back. As we move into October, we’ve already begun fitting all three at Audibility — giving us a clear, early sense of how each one performs in real‑world listening.
A landmark month for hearing technology
It’s rare to see three flagship platforms arrive at once, and the launches themselves reflected the scale of the moment. Signia unveiled their new Pure Charge&Go Max beneath the wings of Concorde — a striking backdrop for a technology designed to push boundaries. Oticon introduced Reveal at Frameless near Marble Arch, using immersive visual environments to highlight how the platform handles complex sound scenes. Phonak completed the trio with their EON launch in London, rounding off a month of innovation across the industry.
Early impressions from the clinic
We’ve already begun fitting all three platforms, and early feedback has been encouraging. Each brings its own strengths — from improved clarity in background noise to more natural sound processing and stronger connectivity options. Because we’re an independent clinic, we’re able to compare these developments side‑by‑side and help patients understand which platform best suits their hearing profile, lifestyle and preferences.
Hands‑on testing and personal experience
Michael, who has been a long‑time personal user of Oticon technology, has been trialling Reveal himself over the past few weeks. This kind of first‑hand experience is invaluable — it allows us to understand how new features behave outside of controlled demonstrations and how they respond to everyday listening challenges. Later this month, Michael will also be visiting one of the manufacturers in Denmark for a behind‑the‑scenes look at operations and R&D, ensuring we stay closely connected to the development of future technology.
What this means for patients
For anyone considering new hearing aids, this is an excellent moment to explore what’s available. With three major platforms launching together, there are more options than ever — each designed to support clearer, more confident listening in everyday life. As always, our role is to offer calm, clinically led guidance across all brands, helping you make a choice that feels right for your hearing and your goals.
